Crystal Renn Doing it for Curvy Girls!

I'm inspired! Saw these pics today of Crystal Renn posing next to a size zero model for the next issue of V Magazine! Just goes to show that you can carry a bit of extra weight and still be high fashion. Renn has graced the cover of American Vogue and I hope that designers do start to make larger sample sizes so that we can see more girls like her featured in our consumer mags. She looks beautiful. End of......

Paramore and You Me At Six show

I went to see Paramore play at Wembley last night and our seats were so good that we were practically on the stage! It was so incredible - Hayley Williams is a force to be reckoned with! You Me At Six were supporting and my old Surrey chums did not disappoint. The wonderful Tom Barnes took an amazing crowd shot (shown above - http://www.tombarnesphoto.com/).  We'd already clocked Danny and Dougie from McFly (we had better seats than them HO HO HO!) and as we were walking out from our seats there were a crowd of girls getting their picture taken with Dougie. So I jumped on this bandwagon, as you do, and I said to him 'Dougie, I'm 25 but I'm still a fan!' and then snapped the above pic! Highlight of my night.......

Clarks Desert Boots are 60!

Never thought I'd be into anything by Clarks as they remind me of sticking my foot in a foot measuring machine when I was a kid but then they released the Desert Boot! Can't wait to get my hands on the denim pair above but also love the liberty print ones (can't go wrong with a liberty print). For their 60th anniversary they have designed the three shoes above and if you go to www.livinganoriginallife.com you can create a visualiser to define an era over the last 60 years - and if you get the most votes you win a Vespa! I think I might have to get involved as a vespa would be lush, the snow might have to clear first though......

Snow Tubing = Brilliant Fun!

For our work Christmas party we went to the John Nike Leisure Centre in Bracknell (took me back to my skating days!) to go Snow Tubing! Some of us were a bit sceptical about it but once we ran to the top of that slope with our rubber dingy's in tow there was no stopping us! I'd recommend it to anyone. We were like a group of children who kept wanting to spin faster and start from higher up the slope! Definitely released my inner dare devil.......

My Secret Santa Present

I tell you what, my colleagues know me so well! This is what I got in the office secret santa! Pure genius!

Jedward's Makeover!

I've been meaning to post pictures of this photoshoot for ages as I was so shocked when I first saw it! Your eyes do not deceive you, that is in fact Jedward!! They took part in a shoot for Grazia and I must say that if the 'singing' doesn't work out for them then they definitely have potential models written all over them (might say that on John's trousers above actually....).....

Grunge Eyes

Was reading through the Sunday Times Style (as I do every Sunday) and came across the beauty page where they tell you how to achieve a certain make up look. This week it was 'Grunge Eyes' and as I'm a big fan of the grunge look I gave it a go. The pictures don't really do it too much justice but believe you me it came out very well. Will definitley be recreating this look on my next night out.  Mac make-up really is the best - created this look without any eye shadow, it's all eye liner!!!

Christmas Tree Wars!

The Christmas tree was put up in the office yesterday and I have to say it definitely trumps the one I have on display at home!  I'll let you figure out from the pics above which is which........

Heat Gallery - Celebrity Heaven

Heat magazine have organised a gallery of all the best celeb pics from their photoshoots over the years. Some of my favs included James Corden in Armani briefs, Jodie Marsh as Audrey Hepburn (she's unrecognisable!) and the above pic of SuBo! Alex was also a fan , if not a little bit scared.....

Take That and Party!

For Helen's birthday the theme was band tees and check shirts. I went for a 2006 Take That tee which went down very well in the Cro Bar in Soho.....

The Future's Bright for Full Circle

OMG I couldn't be more in love with the AW09 collection from Full Circle! It's not normally a brand that I follow but after seeing these shots it's safe to say that I'm converted and can't wait to see what the summer holds.  My favourite ensemble definitely has to be the black crochet top and romantic red tailored skirt.  Might have to make that purchase for our Christmas party.  I love the futuristic shoulders on the red top above too - reminds me of Back to the Future Part Two that I watched last night!  The three main influences for this collection are European culture, the romantics and futurism - you can certainly see that throughout the range. Get buying at www.fullcircleuk.com

Saving Luella!

Went to Biscester Village today on my day off to treat myself to a few new things before Christmas.  Was hoping to buy some Mulberry but was totally uninspired.  Luella on the other hand was like Aladin's cave of treasures!  If I could have bought more I would have!  See above the three items I did buy which I absolutely love - I just couldn't help myself! Everyone has to splash out from time to time right?! Can't wait to start fashioning these items this week.....

New Moon Swoon!

Off to see New Moon tonight and I can't wait! People I know who've been to see it already have reported back saying that the whole audience screamed when Jacob first took his shirt off!  They then proceeded to scream when he was shirtless until it became clear that he's topless for most of the film.....not that I'm complaining mind (even though he's about 17 and that's just wrong).  Anywho, I'm officially allowed to perv over R-Patz so that's fine and that I shall do. Let the droolfest begin.........

I Love Jedward! There...I said it!

Yeah you heard me! I'll say it loud and I'll say it proud! I'm now so over the X Factor after Saturday night. I used to like Olly but I now can't help but resent him for being the reason that Jedward are now being referred to as 'Deadward'.  Yup, I'm really that fickle! I will continue my support for the boys in their future endeavours and when their first tour is announced I'm going to fight for front row seats......this article by Stuart Heritage in The Guardian sums up how I feel. Definitely worth a read Jedward fans  http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2009/nov/23/jedward-x-factor-too-good

The Office of Love

The girls in the office were talking about love being in the air and then JLS starting singing 'Everybody in Love' on the radio and THEN we discovered that Lisa had chipped a heart shape out of her nail varnish without her knowing! Spooky........

My Saturday Night....

It was Jen's birthday celebrations at the weekend and she had no idea what we had in store for her.  The pictures here pretty much tell the story but I'll explain anyways! We went for a sneaky cocktail first then headed to a cinema to see 'Taking Woodstock' (loved it!) where we could drink alcohol as we viewed. And that we did!  A couple of bottles of prosecco later and it was time to go for dinner so we went to Bodeans which is an incredible meat restaurant! Check out the fat on Claire's pork above. Blurgh! But the pork around it was very tasty.....

Going in for the Kiss

I couldn't be more envious of my friend Jen's latest purchase! It's the Lulu Guiness Lips clutch and I'm absolutely in love with it.  Not only is it gorgeous, it's also perfect for comedy photos as you can see........

Now All I Need is a Laptop.....

If ever I needed inspiration to buy a laptop I have now found it! Mulberry have this new collaboration with Apple that has been sold in Selfridges from this month.  I'm a particular fan of the pink animal print case (I'm also in love with the matching clutch bag and wallet - we can all dream can't we!).  Now that I'm an iPhone user, I feel that the cute little iPhone pouch would also be an appropriate purchase.  Justifying the expense will be the hard part......

I <3 This Tee!!

OK so I may only be wearing it to go to the gym but I still love this really old Nike 6.0 t-shirt!  I find the message really inspirational for the hard workout I'm about to endure......

The Talented Artist Returns through 'GamerPrint'

The very talented Lindsay Cowcher has designed a t-shirt for the ever popular 'Halo' game.  You can pick up one of her designs from http://www.gamerprint.co.uk/?page_id=3&category=1&product_id=10

Here is what Gamer Print say about their service:

"GamerPrint is made up of a group of gamers and graphic designers who became frustrated with the amounts of sub-standard gaming tees there are out there. So we put our heads together and decided to make our own store selling the kinds of T-Shirts we actually want to wear!"

If you're a gaming fan then you should definitely be rocking one of her designs. Plenty more where they came from.....

Jump Starting my New Job!

I started a new job this month and am loving it! I'm working for a sports & fitness PR agency.  They make you do an exercise for the website and this was mine! I think it turned out pretty well!  One of my friends said that I was embracing my inner Zac Efron which I think I have to agree with.........

If Only I Were Rich.....

.....then I'd be straight out buying this dress!!! It's by Marc Jacobs and costs £775 which I will never be able to afford but oh my is it pretty! We can all dream though can't we.  I first caught a glimpse of it in Stylist magazine and if you have the funds you can pick yourself one up here http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/47218# I'm now thinking of all the things I can cut out of my life in order to afford it.  How important is food and petrol in a persons life anyways..........

iPhone - How Did I Ever Survive Before It??

I got myself an iPhone last week and I honestly can't remember life before it.  I managed to cancel my old contract early due to the fact that I received no coverage whilst in my house so thought I should jump on the technology bandwagon (much to the annoyance of my Dad who's desperate for an iPhone).  The only applications I've downloaded so far are Facebook and Twitter (obviously!) which are making me highly anti-social (much to the annoyance of my Mother!) but I'm hooked, totally addicted.  Everyone needs an iPhone in their life I swear.  I can't wait to see my friend who also has one so we can bash our phones together and share content.  The future's bright, the future's my iPhone............

Gower Cottage Brownies - YUM!

One of my colleagues won a Twitter competition and got sent some Gower Cottage Brownies and it was one of those days when I was very glad to be in the office! Everyone scoffed them and they were incredible.  What's even better is that you can buy them online and get them delivered all the way from Wales! I'd definitely recommend them to all. Go get ordering http://www.gowercottagebrownies.co.uk/ (picture above by Paula Beetlestone)

The Coolest Clock

I stumbled across a great blog yesterday called 'Better Never Than Late'. They posted about this digital clock by designer Vadim Kibardin which has a self-contained power supply and independent control in each figure and can be fixed to any surface. The figures are white in the dark time of day and black in the daytime. Pure genius.....

Back to My Skating Roots

I stepped on the ice for the first time in three years the other day and I must say it felt great! I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did but it was fab to be back out there. And, not being too big headed about it, I was much better than I thought I was going to be! I landed three flips (if you are a skater and haven't stepped on the ice for a long time that's quite impressive!) so I was well chuffed. Hmmm could this mean that I'm back on the ice for good........
