My first show for London Fashion Week

I went to my first ever London Fashion Week show yesterday. I went to the b Store show at the Natural History Museum and it was a fun experience - must do it again next year. Only celeb spotting was Simon Webbe....he's a lot shorter than he looks on the tele.........

My New Snowboard!!

Just ordered my new Salomon Ivy snowboard!! Am so excited!! It's the first one I've ever owned and I literally can't wait to get out on the snow!! What do you think?! Not long to wait as I'm off to Livigno, Italy on the 7th March. It can't come round quick enough................

Casio G-Shock and b Store LFW event!

Last night I was working at a great event for London Fashion Week. It was a collaboration between Casio G-Shock and trendy London boutique b Store. The watches were showcased in this cool water/light installation which drew a lot of attention. It was a great success and the likes of DJ Ironik, Sway and Pixie Lott put in an appearance. Pixie is going to be gracing the cover of the Sunday Times Style soon (sporting a Baby G watch) and she is just stunning - definitely one to watch in 2009. At the after show at Sketch, G-Shock had created ice sculptures which had some of the watches frozen into them! Impressive stuff.........

The Wall of Corn

Went off to the country side at the weekend to the lovely Cornwall to spend some time with Helz's mum and her wonderful hospitality. So this meant a weekend of hot tubbing, champagne drinking, fondue eating and general merriment! Was great to get away from London life for a bit and was even better to have the HOB reunion in such brilliant surroundings! It was like we'd never been apart. We won't leave it so long next time though will we ladies............

Obsessed with Marina!

When does an obsession start to become an unhealthy one?! I was sent a link to live session of 'Marina and the Diamonds' on Hew Stephens radio show. I ended up listening to it 8 times in a row because it was that amazing! What a talent she has! I wasn't too sure about the animal calls throughout the song but the more you listen to it you realise what they actually bring to the song - awesomeness! haha! I can't wait to catch her live, rumour has it she puts on an amazing show - most of her dates are sold out though boo. I'd defo recommend giving her a listen www.myspace.com/marinaandthediamonds - my FAV track is Mowgli's Road, the one she played on Hew Stephens. Mesmorising............

A Disappointing Trio :-(

Went to see Alkaline Trio last night at KoKo and wasn't that impressed. It was the first time I've seen them live and I was really looking forward to seeing them - I'm not sure if I can blame the entire disappointment on their performance, the sound was pretty shocking so I'll blame the venue for that. Still had an awesome night though and I hope that Paige really enjoyed all her Amaretto and Cranberry juices - she better have done for £5.40 a pop! KoKo is so over priced it's ridiculous! I had to spend a tenner to pay on my card so I got Paige an A&C, myself a Red Stripe then I wanted to do a shot so chose.......Jack Daniels.......not my wisest ever move........

Valentine's Day with a Gorgeous Geordie Twosome!

I couldn't have asked for a better Valentine's Day this year! It was very unromantic and I loved it! The lovely Laura got me tickets to go and see Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and it was brilliant. We had great seats (due to our production passes) and the atmosphere was fantastic. Miley Cyrus performed and forgot her words (which I thought was amusing!) and the show was jam packed with 'Z List' celebs! What more could a girl ask for on the most romantic day of the year! And as you can 'clearly' see above, I made my way onto the tele! OK, so the screen grab here isn't perfect but I guarentee to you that the 'thing' circled is in fact me. I'm a natural in front of the camera right.........

A Relentless Night Out

Sometimes my job has rather good perks, like being able to take all my mates to an event with a free bar! Only snag was, the free bar consisted of booze mixed with Relentless the energy drink! Now, it's not that we don't like the taste of Relentless, it's the fact that when mixed with alcohol, it does strange things to your body the following day - the day after shakes are just subsiding now, 36 hours on!! Much fun was had all round though (some more than others - you know who you are!). Here's to many more booze fuelled nights out ladies! Rumour has it we're doing it all over again tonight.....but hopefully with less Relentless involved..........

Namco The Great!

We went to Namco on Wednesday night to bid farewell to our good friend Dom as she's off to PR pastures new and we had the most amazing time! I can't believe I never knew that Namco existed!! We did everything that there was to do in that arcade from ride motorbikes, cars, skiing and dancing!! But the best part were the bumper cars! I haven't been in a bumper car for years and I'd forgotten how fun they were. It was a brilliant way to vent after a hectic week and we're all battered and bruised for the trouble! But it was all totally worth it! Check out our lovely pose in the childs bus. We'd been posing for so long that by the end of it I'd lost the will.....can you tell......

There's No Day Like Snow Day!

So how brilliant was Snow day yesterday! I had no idea it was going to snow that much (yes I don't pay attention to the weather reports). Always love an unofficial day off work due to the whole of London shutting down completely! It's a wonder how anyone in a real snowy country gets around after a few inches of snow! Not that I'm complaining because I did enjoy my day of not doing a lot. I really don't think I took advantage of the snow situation though - not like some of my friends did! I've seen pictures of people snowboarding down hills, attempting to board on a baking tray and a large amount of humourous snowmen! Ellie's attempt is pictured here - his name is José and I think he's amazing! Defo my fav............
