Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jog

I moved from my flat in London today back to my home town to live with the folks for a bit. It's lovely being home and I'd forgotten how green and peaceful this place was! Very odd seeing my whole life in a transit van but we managed to fit it all in.....just about! I don't recommend moving your life in bin bags from a second floor flat with no lift. It really is no fun. Burnt a good few hundred calories though so not all bad......

Half a Yard of Pizza!

Went to a lush restaurant in Shoreditch yesterday for lunch called Yard. They serve pizza and you can get a 1/4, 1/2 or a whole yard!! We opted for 1/2 a yard between the two of us so this one is half goats cheese and half 'lots of meat'! It was delicious and I'd recommend it to all!!

Invasion of the Mozzies!!

I have been bitten to death by mozzies all over my arms and shoulders!! What the heck is that about?!?!

Latitude Festival 2009

Got back from Latitude Festival yesterday and had a great weekend. The weather was horrendous which was a shame but didn't stop us from having a jolly good time! Yet again we didn't see many bands but that's ok because the festival is more of an experience than a music must see. We had fun frolicking in the woods and dancing in the Guilty Pleasures tent til 3am! Sunday was pretty much a write off due to the rain and Helz getting diagnosed with swine flu.........

Indoor Snowboarding - now there's a first!

For my birthday, Paige took me to the Milton Keynes snowdome to do some indoor snowboarding. It was an odd experience (in the sense that we were on a fake mountain covered in snow, freezing cold whilst it was glorious sunshine outside and the Wimbledon final) but absolutely brilliant. There were only about 10 people on the mountain - presumably because the weather was so nice outside! The run wasn't very long but Paige and I managed a good 6 or 7 turns and we had immense fun on the button lifts......or maybe not. On one occassion I got on it but wasn't on it right so it flew from between my legs leaving me stranded up the mountain. But Paige won the 'worst way to ride a button lift' award by letting it fly from between her legs and then holding onto it with her hands while it seperated her shoulders! Very amusing for me.......

Remember my Name!

We had a letter through the door the other week telling us that our road would be closed on Sunday 12th July as there would be a giant reenactment of the popular musical 'Fame' taking place! What are the odds eh! So, at 10am on the dot (as promised) all we could hear from our flat was 'Fame! I'm gonna live for ever......' so in retaliation to this our upstairs neighbours thought it would be fun to turn up their heavy bass music (oh joy!). Nice relaxing Sunday for us! Anywho, Laura and I went along for a nose and it looked really cool. Sooooo much neon and sweatbands galore. I'm presuming it's for the new T-Mobile ad so watch this space......
