Nothing to Haight About It....

After our first chilled out night in San Francisco, Paige and I decided to take public transport as it was SO nice to be on some that actually ran coherently, unlike in LA. We took the tram/bus thing to Haight Ashbury which is such a cool area. It's very hippy but they have loads of great vintage shops (Mum, I promise I didn't buy TOO much stuff when we went there....) and we pretty much hung out there the whole day. Paige and I definitely felt at home there. The houses were absolutely beautiful (I didn't want to look like I was a stalker/burglar so only took a couple pics of some houses!). In the evening, we met up with our Aussie mate Leah who we met in LA and she was in charge of finding our evening's drinking destination and she chose The Make Out Rooms downtown. They played great cheesy music and the drinks were STRONG (think a tall glass of Jack Daniels with a dash of coke for $5!) and I'd say 95% of the room were women. It was then that we realised that we had got there on gay night but that was why the music was so good for sure! So we danced the night away, drank some stroooonggg drinks then hit the hay, but not before Paige had the change to pose with a dead bear (see amusing pic above).....
